Description
This is a second-hand, hard backed book that has been altered by adding cut, illustrated pages depicting a detailed scene in pen and ink. The overall scene is of a garden and the trees surrounding it. Outside the garden gate walks a woman in a long dress. A bonfire blazes, a fox lurks. Within the garden walls stands a house with darkened windows, but smoke ascends from a chimney. All this takes place beneath a night sky with a crescent moon.
The book has 12 illustrated pages, six each side of the central spread.
Closed the book measures 16cm x 24cm x 2.5cm. It will come wrapped in tissue paper and protected in a box.
